Most people undoubtedly recognize the Amorino gelato Nice France establishments for their distinctive flower cones. Naturally, I overlooked the pretty colored gelato on my first visit and instead chose to indulge in my typical yearning for chocolate. I realized I could have done better visually after looking at the pictures. Quite frankly, in terms of taste as well.

The Amorino cones are composed of a thick waffle cone and are small and narrow in shape. If I’m being picky, it looked to be a poor fit for the gelato; I might have expected a sugar cone. The waffle cone might serve as a better foundation for the flower cone. A robust cone is probably necessary because the floral shape requires quite a bit of precise paddling.

Portion-wise, the small was a nice size, and you could choose from any number of flavors.
