After a few chilly, lengthy Parisian spring days, the sun was shining, and cheese had never tasted better! I suppose that’s what makes a Parisian Picnic so appealing.

In all honesty, Paris is one of the best places for picnics since it has so many charming parks, the great Seine banks, and picnicking right next to the iconic Eiffel Tower!
But I can assure you that wherever you choose to picnic in Paris, you’ll have a fun!
It may be rather intimidating to arrange a picnic, especially if it’s your first time, despite how thrilling it is to go on one in Paris, but it doesn’t have to be!

Canal Saint-Martin

During the summer, you’ll notice it is packed with groups of people and couples. Some are feasting on elaborate spreads, while others enjoy beer in cans. To make it even better, you can have pizza delivered directly to you on a specific spot on the canal from the Pink Flamingo. Here, you also enjoy breathtaking views from the graceful green bridges. It’s also a picturesque location. Just come ready to have a good time.
The Parc des Buttes-Chaumont

Come spring and summer, the Parc des Buttes-Chaumont in northeastern Paris is a favorite perching ground. Amazing for a picnic as you enjoy the fresh air out in the open, fantastic views, and the sounds of birds singing along. This is a romantic-style park built atop limestone quarries. It has almost limitless grass where you can walk, sit, and play. The park is a great escape place, especially for a romantic or family picnic. It features a temple perched 50 metres above sea level on a clifftop and rolling hills. Experience incredible views of Paris, and it also has a waterfall, a lake, and an old railway.
Anywhere Along the Seine

This is another wonderfully beautiful place to have a picnic. If you’re the kind who enjoys great views in a quiet environment, visit Les Quais de la Seine. The Seine River is the most popular river in France. Here, you get to pick your favorite picnic spot. The best for me along the Seine is the Quai de la Tournelle.
A spectacular view of the Seine and Notre Dame de Paris Cathedral may be enjoyed from the quai. Beginning a few years ago, whenever the weather permits, I come here to enjoy a picnic with my partner or friends.
Champ de Mars

It is one of the best picnic spots near the Eiffel Tower. Here, the Iron Lady provides a great setting for the long patch of grass at Camp de Mars. It’s one of the most popular picnic spots in Paris, offering outstanding views but has room for everyone. It is also one of the most romantic picnic spots in the City of Love. If you want to experience the greatest views of the Eiffel Tower, take a warm blanket and go to Champ de Mars immediately after sunset. Anyone can fall in love with the view.
Tuileries Garden

If you want to enjoy some time and privacy with someone you love, the Tuileries Garden offers the right spots. It offers a number of hedges and corners hidden from the public eye. Thanks to the location, the Tuileries isn’t frequented by tourists. It is a beautiful place with colorful views making for a splendid romantic spot. The pictures you take here create memories, and they’re so colorful. You can sit on a bench or chair in the park and enjoy a beautiful sunset view behind the Eiffel Tower.
Parc Monceau

An afternoon at the Parc Monceau gives you a sneak preview of how Parisians live. If you’re planning for a fun family day, this is the first place to visit. The kids love the green manicured playgrounds, and parents love the history as they walk through Parc Monceau. Its surrounded by sumptuous mansions and luxury buildings, including the Museum of Asian Arts. It’s a peaceful, beautiful, and pleasant park frequented by locals and tourists alike.
Palais Royal

Palais Royal gardens is a beautiful and tranquil place to visit with your significant other. The garden is adorned with chestnut trees, lime trees, and a large central pond. If you’re looking for a place to peacefully eat a sandwich or a quick picnic spot under a tree shade, this is ideal. The magnolia blossoms bloom in March, giving the place a beautiful pink touch.
Parc de Sceaux

This little-known estate is home to a small chateau and sprawling formal gardens. It is a delightful escape from the city 30 minutes south of Paris. Thanks to the warm weather in Paris during spring, the cherry blossom gives the gardens amazing colors making a great picturesque location. It is a huge park with a great layout of plantations that include the largest joy flower in Paris. The waters are lovely at the park’s center, with a few wildlife habitats. Thanks to the large open space, you can access the park through different entrances and enjoy a picnic without anyone bothering you.
Place des Vosges

It is the oldest of all royal squares in Paris, and it’s a great and popular picnic spot in Paris. It is amazing, especially during the warm weather. You get to bask under the sun on the beautifully manicured green grass. It is one of the most elegant squares in Paris, surrounded by some of the finest Paris architecture. You can have your lunch here under the sun, then later explore some art galleries lining the square. Victor Hugo’s house, now a municipal museum, is also near the royal square.
Luxembourg Gardens

Of all the parks in Paris, Luxembourg garden is a top pick. At the back of the park is a specific area where you sit on the grass and have a picnic. The park stays open up to 9 pm during the summer. Luxembourg Gardens redefine picnic in Paris, especially during the warm weather. You can spend the whole day there enjoying amazing views of the Luxembourg Palace and the wonderful atmosphere. The park has toilets next to the picnic park with an attendant. Thanks to the amazing location, wonderful atmosphere, and serene environment, the park is well frequented by locals and tourists.
